1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons margarine
Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook 1 minute; stir. Remove from heat. Pour in water and lemon juice. Stir gently until sugar has dissolved. Stir in margarine. Cool to room temperature. Serve with cream cheese frosting.
really good and quite nice variation on traditional cauliflower raisin bread
I really enjoyed this recipe. I like green beans anyway, but it's nice to see how someone else prepares them. I used the whole young beans and real butter, but eliminated the lemon juice. As always with green beans, you want to make sure you remove any bebes that could be stuck in the mixture. Also, don't drown the beans in the butter, as if you did, the liquid could get boring really fast. Instead of half and half, I used white wine--always a good thing to have in the fridge!
