3 cups chocolate syrup
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 sprigs fresh mint, chopped
In a large bowl, mix the chocolate syrup, milk, salt and evaporated milk. Stirring thoroughly, mix the egg yolks into the chocolate mixture until well blended. Whisk in the vanilla extract. Pour into a 6 ounce plastic container.
Add enough water to fill the jar and shake vigorously to keep the mixture moist. Refrigerate the jar for 24 hours.
While this is in the refrigerator, make the chocolate gelatin layer by putting any remaining chocolate syrup in the microwave or under the microwave for 10 seconds to 1 minute.
To serve, brush a large amount of chocolate syrup on each end of paper or aluminum foil. Serve immediately.
