2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup marshmallow creme
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease muffin cups or decorate with frosting.
Melt the 1/2 cup flour in a large bowl. Stir in baking soda. Stir in baking powder, baking soda mixture, salt and milk. Mix thoroughly, then mix in eggs.
Beat butter or margarine into flour mixture. Combine 1/4 cup sugar, egg, 1/4 cup peanut butter and 1/4 cup sugar with electric mixer or semi-tip blender. Mix thoroughly.
Fill muffin liners with batter mixture. Spoon batter mixture into prepared muffin liners.
Bake in preheated oven 25 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of muffin comes out clean. Cool gently in pan. Decorate with cherry blossom or chocolate frosting.
