Peaches and Cream Bars IV Recipe

Ingredients

3 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 egg

1/3 cup milk

8 small candies or cherries, thinly sliced

1/2 cup chopped almonds

1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x9 inch pan.

In a large bowl, cream together the cocoa, soda and baking powder until smooth. Beat in the eggs. Combine the oil, eggs and cocoa mixture; gradually beat into the creamed mixture until well blended. Fold in the pecans. Spread dough into the prepared pan.

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool completely and cut into squares while still remaining warm.

I took this to a luau party and they said it was too sweet! They preferred brownies with this cake. :o)
