2 pounds beef sirloin steak
2 onions, peeled and chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 large carrot, chopped
4 clove garlic, minced
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
2 cups chicken broth
salt and pepper to taste
3 tablespoons beef bouillon
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Place 1/2 cup milk in a slow cooker. Add water unless can be avoided by recipe. Mix thoroughly. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Liven up with onions, celery and carrot in slow cooker and toss sauce and broth together. Season with salt and pepper.
Add chicken broth, salt and pepper to the slow cooker and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and add bouillon crumbs. Add Worcestershire sauce, marjoram, thyme and beef bouillon grains. Cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
