1/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup banana, sliced
1 (12 ounce) package cream cheese
1 cup fine powdered sugar
2 cups cooked white rice
1/2 cup chopped dates
Preheat oven broiler.
Gradually drizzle butter or margarine onto large baking sheet.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar as needed. Beat in the flour.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla, baking soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, banana and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
Spread evenly on baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Cool loaf completely, cut into thin strips.
While loaf cools, brush cream cheese evenly over loaf. Cool on wire rack before cutting.
