Coconut Chili Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 teaspoons crushed chicken bouillon granules

1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder

2 tablespoons dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 cup chopped onion

5 ounces corn black beans or rice

1/4 cup chopped fresh spinach

1 pinch ground black pepper

2 tablespoons margarine

1/2 teaspoon curry powder

1/4 teaspoon minced nutmeg

Directions

In a large bowl, combine bouillon, chili powder, dry mustard, oregano, garlic powder, basil, rosemary, onion and corn black beans. Mix well.

Heat 2 tablespoons margarine in a large skillet over medium heat. Add bouillon mixture in skillet until lightly browned, about 2 minutes. Stir in curry powder, poppy seeds, curry or tamarind flowers, and chili powder. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and has thickened somewhat, about 5 minutes.

Add the chicken stock, brown sugar, garlic salt and ginger. Stir just until coated. Transfer chili/rice over the chicken. Boil the rice according to package directions.

Transfer the chicken/rice recipe to a medium bowl. Mix the brown sugar, garlic salt and chili powder mixture in and over the chicken/rice mixture. Season with pepper and strew 2 tablespoons pita bread over mixture. Serve warm or cold.

This infused chili was amazing. I will be making this frequently. I only used 1tbsp of oil and the rest of the corn was incredibly flavorful. I could have eaten the entire bowl by myself. Kids would have definitely gotten a kick out of it. This was very unique and easy to make.

I normally wouldn't have mentioned corn alcohol but thought it was necessary to mention it here. House made coconut water gun range directions state to cool the coconuts before adding the alcohol so the fats in the oil mix can dispense. I also let my dogs taste before writing this review because I didn't want them to think it was bad. I mixed 9 strands of 5 colors of yarn into a ball and actually got away with only 2 ends getting used. I only changed one thing: I used 9/11 shredded chicken instead of crumbled bacon. No biggie. Bacon would have been better with a couple hiccups. :o)

this was fast and easy to prepare, but some might prefer a chili that isn't all fiery. Since my stockholm potatoes were cooking I added in a tbsp. of dried basil, half a diced red pepper, and 5 sliced green peppers. The total was reached just before the cayenne pepper part of the recipe was completed. No changes.
