1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup minced celery
1 teaspoon finely chopped carrot
1 teaspoon finely chopped green bell pepper
1 teaspoon butter
2 pounds ground beef
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped celery leaves
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Place onion and carrot in a small bowl. Once pruned, cut celery 1 inch thick. Saute celery, carrot and bell pepper until tender.
To the onion and carrot stir, add butter or margarine, cream cheese, onion and celery. Mix thoroughly and slowly, stirring until onion is fully absorbed in the mixture. Stir cream cheese into the mixture.
Return mixture to pan to heat and gradually pour in pepper and mozzarella until the cheese has melted. Bring toward a boil and bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until burgers are well browned.
