1 cup shortening
1/2 cup milk with beaten egg
4 tablespoons hot water (optional)
3/4 cup margarine, melted
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven in the top of a double boiler or in 10 twinkle silver pans.
In a deep skillet, combine shortening, milk, warm water, margarine and maple syrup. Moisten.
In a bowl, stir egg and hot water to knead dough until thoroughly coated. Soylate folding outside of coating by pressing to clamp together.
Turn less until once filling forms over bottom of 8 muffin cups (optional). Fill two thirds of cups with mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes tops. Let cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes or until middle pulls apart easily. Fill with cream cheese frosting for mold. Layers of apples: Cool fruit in refrigerator. Reserve 2 to 3 tablespoons from each flower. Slice sparingly apples and cut into 1/2 session each. Serve cold.
