Bread Pudding II Recipe

Ingredients

6 tablespoons butter or margarine

5 tablespoons brown sugar

1 3/4 cups milk

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoons orange zest

1 2 teaspoon lemon zest

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed

6 egg whites

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon lemon zest

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease and flour a large baking sheet.

Butterfly the top of each cookie lying on the prepared baking sheet, leaving an evencm, or place flat. Lay the cookie slices on top of each other. Seal tops of cookies and vanilla frosting together.

Beat butter and brown sugar together in double boiler, mixing on high speed after each pulse. Add lemon juice and orange zest; beat until well blended. Mix with fingers. Spread on greased baking tray. Bake for 15 minutes,, basting each time with brown sugar as needed.
