Orangeberry Doughnut Recipe

Ingredients

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 tablespoons margarine

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs, beaten

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 1/2 cups milk

1 tablespoon orange juice

3 tablespoons orange-flavored juice

1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest

1/2 teaspoon orange zest

1/4 cup orange juice

1 1/2 tablespoons lemon zest

1/8 cup butter, melted

1 teaspoon water

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl, cream together 1/4 cup brown sugar, margarine, and vanilla extract. Beat in eggs, and beat until well blended. Mix the cream cheese with milk, orange juice, orange juice, lemon zest and orange zest; mix into the cream cheese mixture alternately with the butter. Gradually beat in the water with a wooden spoon, until a thick cream cheese mixture is formed. Transfer to the prepared pan. Pour the orange juice mixture over the cream cheese mixture and seal as desired.

Bake in preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the dough comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely before cutting.
