This was delicious!!! I might add more things to it, but this is really good as is. I gave it to several people as gifts for Christmas and everyone liked it... I might try it again and title it differently, but this is the first time I've done that. I may try adding a dry fruit or two, depending on the size of your bananas. Thanks!
I've made this twice, usually just for fun, and I've come up with totally different recipes. The first time was just calling for "Banana Twists," and that sounded so pretentious! The next time, I put the "Mint" in "Banana," and it turned out in spiciness! The last time I cooked with "Mint," and I cooked up a big platter, so I'm calling this "Fluffy French Toast;")
I had the opposite problem from Baker Bee. Mine hardly spread at all. I also felt, at the time specified, mine was still bit raw. The last batch I cooked at 15 minutes. I did halve the recipe and used a piece of chocolate ice cream to spread on the top. It was the best thing to come out of my oven in a long time.
