4 sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish. Place sweet potatoes in baking dish.
In a large skillet over high heat, heat butter until melted. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, brown sugar and cornstarch.
Spread partially the sweet potatoes into baking pan, cutting each one into about 1 inch squares. Sprinkle butter mixture over sweet potatoes. Sprinkle remaining sweet potatoes over butter mixture. Sprinkle remaining cornstarch over sweet potatoes.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, until sweet potatoes are golden brown.
