2 cups white sugar
1 (18.25 ounce) package French vanilla flavored cake mix
1/2 cup milk
1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans.
In a large bowl, stir together sugar, cake mix, milk, pudding mix, egg, and butter. Whisk into the sugar mixture until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
