Cinnamon Rolls II Recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup white sugar

3 tablespoons lemon juice

1 cup butter, melted

Directions

Beat eggs and baking powder in small bowl until fluffy. Stir in salt, nutmeg, vanilla extract and sugar. Mix gently, scraping bowl often, until smooth. Cover and refrigerate dough for about 1 hour or until doubled in volume.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. Divide dough into two equal pieces and flatten to about 1/4 inch thick. Using a 2 inch round cutter, cut 2 circles about 1/4 inch thick. Roll one out with palms facing down, then place inside prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Remove from oven, let cool completely on a wire rack.

To make the lemon glaze: Combine 1 cup butter and 3/4 cup lemon juice in small bowl. Spread over loaf of bread.
