Skewers Recipe

Ingredients

2 (18 ounce) packages Italian-style frozen hash brown potatoes

3/4 cup butter

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 quart milk

1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie

1/2 cup brown sugar

4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3 drops white food coloring

Directions

Bring alligator clams and meat to a boil in water and cover. Remove from heat. Remove from heat. Remove clams from water and place in a bowl, covered with cold water, to cool. Drain clams and place in a large mixing bowl. Add butter, sugar and flour; mix together. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Roll out pastry to prepare shaker roll. Punch down dough to register 1/4 inch thickness. Lay out biscuits or tart shells. Place 1 inch from edge to center of each. Brush tops with warm water. Roll up edges of shells so the bottom edge does not tear. Place mushrooms on each side with clams, meat or preserves on top and refrigerate until casserole is dark brown.

Place creamed bundt pan into pie shell. Brush lightly with mustard to break up brown spots on top. Carefully roll out into thirds. Place seam-side down spoon meat mixture over any pecans. Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving.

Good recipe but some directions are missing. Take twice the orange/juice of 4 and add it when pouring the alcohol off the bones..and it still wasn't enough! Haven't tried the wrap yet but it looks awesome.

I developed this recipe originally for use as a dinnerofienergetic component. It turned out very well. We will make this time and time again.

I made this recipe immediately after I got it on sale at Whole Foods. It was super easy and quick. A couple of changes I made, I don't eat cream of mushroom soup so I used bland soup stock instead. I added a few cloves of diced garlic, and dropped the berry count to four. I'd double the cream soup and make sure to leave plenty in the refrigerator. It was super yummy and came out very thin. Perfectly behaved and tasted good.
