2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups milk
2/3 cup vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the 3/4 cup of butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the flour mixture or half of the flour mixture. Mix in the brown sugar mixture and water. Beat until just moist.
Beat in the milk, oil and vanilla extract. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool in refrigerator. Remove from oven and place on a metal rack to cool completely.
