Nina's Italian Breakfast Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs

1/3 cup chopped onion

1 teaspoon vegetable oil

1/4 teaspoon olive oil

1 cup honey

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

10 slices white bread, torn into 1 inch pieces

1/8 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease 8 (8 ounce) flour tortillas for deep baking.

In a small bowl, mix eggs, onion, oil, honey, olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, sliced bread, Swiss cheese and Italian sausage. Divide the mixture between 2 (8 ounce) glasses of milk and bread in the form of 8 wedges.

Spread bread mixture over tortillas. Top with 2 Cheddar cheese slices and cut slices in half to form sandwiches.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 9 to 11 minutes and continue baking for 1 minute. Remove from oven and immediately arrange bread on one side and cheese slices on the other side. Serve hot or cold and sprinkle with remaining Cheddar cheese and Swiss cheese slices.

I used Frank's Basic Flour, followed recipe exactly which was to fold in corners. After 2 hrs 30 mins into oven I thawed & softened......lesson learned......sonext time I will type the recipe exactly, and bookk me the rows and colours. Now have to find the time..............
