1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 dash baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups water
1/4 cup lard
1 cup chopped walnuts
3 tablespoons blueberry preserves
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in water and blueberry preserves. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Place in oven for a few minutes to warm. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
