6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup corn oil
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and corn oil until smooth. Beat in the eggs and salt and pepper flakes, whisking constantly.
Spread the batter into a 1 quart 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
