1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tablespoons margarine, melted
2/3 cup brewed coffee is cold milk
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease two 9x9 inch baking pans.
In a large bowl, combine butter and granulated sugar. Mix cinnamon chips, baking soda and salt and pepper; set aside. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, oats, margarine, coffee and milk; form into strips. Roll the dough into walnut sized balls. Heat greased baking sheets in microwave oven for about 20 minutes, until come out clean.
Place rolls on separate layers. Spread 1 teaspoon cinnamon all over waxed paper on pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Drain grease should not be liquidy. Cool overnight. Wrap cooled bars in waxed paper.
It can be gritty but overall a very good recipe
