1 cup butter
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Stir in baking powder, 1 cup sugar, vanilla extract and flour; mix until well blended. Stir in baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder and salt; beat into butter mixture. Mix corn syrup, pecans and butter mixture into butter mixture. Pour mixture into greased greased 9 inch pie pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
