1 cup butter, softened
3 1/4 cups white sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup milk
2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and chocolate until smooth. Stir in the pecans. Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
