Honey Nut Cinnamon Rolls II Recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups butter, softened

6 cups honeyed raisins

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon honey

1/4 teaspoon almond extract

2 tablespoons cornstarch

4 eggs

1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Beat butter in a large bowl, mixing the raisins and sugar until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract, honey and almond extract.

Spread about 1/4 cup of the mixture onto the baking sheet. Sprinkle raisins onto the top of the baking sheet. Spread the rest of the dough over the raisin mixture and sprinkle the remaining dough over the raisin mixture.

Bake covered at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 minutes. Go to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 1 hour.

While the rolls sit in the preheated oven, melt the remaining butter in a large saucepan. Stir in the egg, oil and almonds. Cook over medium heat until the sugar is completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in the syrup. Beat to form a smooth dough.

Roll the rolls out on a greased 8x8 inch baking sheet. Spread the syrup over the top of rolls. Arrange the rolls on the baking sheet. Brush remaining syrup onto the top of rolls.

Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
