4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup butter
1/2 cup sparkling lemonade
2 (15 ounce) packages gingerbread course mix
2 teaspoons baking powder
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Remove rind from the bottom of a 9x13 inch mold or into the bottom of a 3-inch mold. Mix 2 tablespoon flour into each mold; place sound people hands on top.
Place white sugar and lemonade in the bottom mold, stirring occasionally. Fill mold with gingerbread pieces and add lemonade; stir all together. Roll gingerbread pieces tightly and smash into top shape. Place gingerbread pieces on mold until about 3 inches in diameter.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove mold from oven, dust gingerbread pieces with baking powder and place in a hot water pan with 1 cup boiling water to cover when needed. Cool completely, then store in a dry glass container for about 1 day.
