3/4 cup butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
6 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups perfectly chopped almonds
1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in the salt. Blend in the flour mixture until smooth, scraping bowl often. Mix in nuts and almonds. Fold in the chocolate chips. Cut a rectangle of dough into 1 inch wide wedges. Place wedges onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
