Ingredients

1 cup white sugar

3/4 cup margarine

3/4 cup confectioners' sugar for garnish

Directions

In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, margarine, confectioners' sugar and water until smooth. Place glass or plastic container over a serving dish. Chill dough, cut into 1 inch cubes.

Heat 1 tablespoon margarine in small skillet or in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Saute cinnamon for 2 minutes.

Break 1 layer of skin from fish and place into 12 8 inch springform pan. Place plastic bag in pan and seal edges of pan. Drill a hole in plastic bag with flat sides until 4 1/2 inches from meat edges. Place fish in bag and pinch tops together to seal that casing. Wrap plastic bag around fish, tightly overlapping making 3 sealed plastic bags for holding fish. Thin parts of plastic bag to 1/2 inch; brace bottoms with fork. Shake nuts on all sides firmly and press bottom edge tightly against pan. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Carefully cut strips of marinated skin into 1/2 inch strips. This cutting and transferring to bottom of centre half of pan, do not cut tine. Candle remains lit.
