5 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 (12 ounce) package vanilla wafer cookies
1 cup chopped pecans
2 cups milk chocolate syrup
1 (8 ounce) can evaporated milk
3 (4 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (16 ounce) can yellow marshmallows
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans. Prepare the flour, baking powder, baking soda and water by mixing together; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream the butter or margarine with the 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the oil, one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla and pecans. Beat in the milk and chocolate syrup.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely, then cut into squares. Cut into squares using a butter knife. Cover the crust with damp cloth, leaving a 1/4 inch border around halfway up the sides of the cake. Cut into squares. Serve immediately.
