1 (4 ounce) package cinnamon roll dough
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 small onion, sliced
4 teaspoons water
salt to taste
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Add the flour, baking powder and baking soda, and coat evenly. Roll out to 1/8 inch in thickness. Cut into small pieces by cutting into squares. Set aside.
On a well greased cookie sheet, roll the cinnamon rolls like a jelly roll, and cut each piece into 8 pieces. Place rolls into greased cookie sheet. Place the brown sugar in the top of a double boiler (or in a 3 ounce container). Place cinnamon roll pieces onto the greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour, or until lightly browned. Allow to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes.
