Easy Apple Cake Recipe

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 shortening

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 cup butter

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

1 pound cream cheese, softened

1 (8 ounce) can evaporated milk

2 apples - peeled, cored and sliced

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 ounce) pans of a 9 inch square pan. Sift together the flour, baking powder, brown sugar, and eggs. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, eggs, butter, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk. Beat in the shredded cheese and cream cheese until well blended. Stir in the milk mixture, then spread evenly into the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
