Salt Christmas Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 cup white sugar

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

3 tablespoons lemon juice

3 teaspoons lemon zest

1/2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 tablespoon whipping cream

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, mix 1 tablespoon baking powder and sugar. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Beat in eggs, lemon juice, lemon peel, lemon zest, and lemon zest. Stir in lemon zest, lemon peel and lemon zest; fold in the remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden. Cool completely.

In a medium bowl, mix lemon juice, lemon zest and lemon zest. Blend these into the baking mix of the lemon meringue mixture. Spread over the cookies, forming a Christmas shape. Allow cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet.
