Kirke Steak Marinade Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups vodka

1 small onion, minced

1 medium green bell pepper, chopped

5 litres beef stock

5 litres water

2 teaspoons dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried lavender

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

3 tablespoons lemon juice

3 cubes beef bouillon

1 (5 ounce) can whole cloves

1/2 cup Belgian-style white wine

Directions

In a shaker with vodka, room temperature water, lemon juice and bouillon cubes. Shake vigorously until marinade is completely thickened.

Place fish in plastic bags; place in marinade. Cover with marinade and refrigerate 4 hours.

Remove fish from marinade, and gently pat dry with paper towels. Preheat grill for high heat. Grill steaks 4 minutes per side, turning once.

Slice steaks, and broil steaks 5 minutes per side, until fully cooked through and easily flaked with a fork. Flip steaks and broil 2 minutes per side, pressing down to cause them to become flaky. Serve steaks over steaks with the remaining marinade as garnish.
