Petite French Toast Recipe

Ingredients

3/4 cup butter

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup white sugar

1 egg, beaten

1 cup milk

4 slices bread, cubed

2 tablespoons butter, melted

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, sugar, egg and milk. Beat until smooth. Mix in the flour and baking powder, then mix in the sugar. Beat until well blended. Fold into the cream cheese mixture just until incorporated. Spoon into a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, drizzle lemon juice over the bread cubes and sprinkle with melted butter. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
