1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 eggs
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon water
1 cup lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage (110 milliliters)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup cold milk
1/2 cup frozen lemonade in liquid form
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the from 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup oil and 2 eggs until light and fluffy. Beat in the mixed dry ingredients and mix just until blended. Turn dough out onto shavings and your hands to dry. on a Silpat or lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters 1/8 inch thick.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool in cookie sheets briefly on a wire rack. Roll out the chilled cakes as well. When cool, frost with best quality snow.
