Milled Raisin Medley Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup Raisin Bran

3 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons Scotch-style corn syrup

2 teaspoons baking soda

2 teaspoons salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease 2 (8 inch) loaf pans.

Combine flours, sugar, corn syrup and soda into a large bowl; beat well. Make a well in the center of the raisin mixture. Add brown sugar with mixed berries, oats, raisins and pecans; beat well.

Transfer 1/2 cup of the raisin mixture into the prepared pans. Place the remaining raisin mixture on the prepared loaf slices and spread the remaining cracker mixture over the sliced raisins and pecans.

Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until lightly browned; cool and cut into smaller pieces. Chill in refrigerator.

I used sea salt but it wasn't enough and IT DID take longer to make. At first I thought it might be because I had frozen veggies, but after trying both methods, I figured it was probably because I used a sauce that was a combination of tomato paste and flour. So next time I will definately try tomato mustard. LOVED this !!!
