1 (16 ounce) can cream-style corn
1 (3 ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix
1 (15 ounce) can sliced almonds, for topping
2 teaspoons apple pie spice
1 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, combine bacon mix, corn and pudding mix. Pour mixture into crust.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, until bacon is crisp and criss-crossing edge of crust brown.
Top crust with almonds, apple pie spice and milk.
Cool, and refrigerate for 2 hours. Cut into 1 inch squares.
I will probably try this w/ the Crumb Pies Read reviews First and All. Absolutely excellent. I added my dry ingredients first and baked 30min and it came out so moist and delicious. The crust was super easy and came together in no time. I only changed ONE thing I threw out there was the last 15min reprieve before roasting. I ground the coconut in the coffee I had just heating up and served with a butter/egg crepe. No changes. Great recipe and definitely something I will keep making for sure. Awesome!
Very moist and yummy! I think I prefer a drizzly pie, so I doubled the sugar. My husband doesn't like almond extract, so I omitted it, but otherwise it is the same. Add 1/2 cup of sour cream and 4 tbsp. butter in place of the 2 eggs, and voila! Oh so moist and tender! (Unfortunately, I did not have twinkies, so I used 3 eggs rather than 2 and had to re-work that into the recipe.)
