1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1/4 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh sage
1 1/2 teaspoons white pepper
1 pound saltine cracker crumbs
1/8 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup chopped fresh ginger root vegetables
1/2 cup chopped fresh chives (optional)
In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat; stir in saltine cracker crumbs, pepper, ginger, chives and oregano. Stir into the simmering soup. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
