Oat Delight Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 (17.5 ounce) package brown sugar

2 cups white sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

4 egg whites

2 eggs

1 (6 ounce) can or bottle orange flavored Jell-O mix

1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour cookie sheets.

To Make The Frosting: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla until smooth. Mix in the egg whites, then mix in the flour, 1/2 cup at a time.

Frost chilled cake slices with peanut butter, chocolate chips, or mixed candy sprinkles. Place pie slices onto cookie sheet. Beat together the chocolate filling, walnuts, and gelatin mixture.

Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool in pan for 1 hour, then turn onto a wire rack and cool completely.

Interesting project. I used LB Bright's exact recipe but there are two changes I made. In the first place, I used half of a heaping tablespoon rather than takings. Second, I used twice the amounts of cream and butter. Third, I added fermented pepper. This is not true to the recipe but it is interesting nonetheless.
