1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons margarine
3 cups egg whites
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons white sugar
2 tablespoons margarine
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease muffin pans or line with paper muffin liners.
In a large bowl, cream together the flour, baking powder, salt and butter until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in milk. Mix in the milk mixture, egg whites and salt. Fold in the margarine.
Spread batter into prepared muffin cups. Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes.
