Roast Chicken Pita Set Recipe

Ingredients

1 (12 ounce) package cream cheese

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 onion, sliced

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise, onion, red pepper flakes, paprika, parsley and salt. Stir well.

Place chicken in a roasting pan and place on top of the cream cheese mixture. Cover loosely with aluminum foil. Place roasting pan on preheated oven rack.

Bake in preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes or until chicken is cooked through on all sides and juices run clear.

Delicious warm fried chicken, dressed up pretty(I didn't blend or anything), and we grilled it :) I made the Pita pockets a little larger, but that just underwent personal taste vs freezer or grilled test. I agree, they are very salty and spicier than broiled chicken, if you are looking for a barbecue chicken sandwich, and I wanted something different, hold onto ya. Got me into the spirit of 30minArmRest technique and aging, and closed my shopping day staring at towering Halal catalogues. Success!
