Angel Fleischer Teriyaki Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste

1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper

1/4 cup water

1/3 cup water

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1/4 teaspoon onion salt

1/2 teaspoon brown sugar

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1/4 teaspoon Japanese sesame seeds

1/4 teaspoon white sugar

2 tablespoons honey

1/2 teaspoon ginger ale or kirsch

Directions

In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Saute garlic powder in salt, pepper and red pepper. Remove from heat and stir in water and water.

Whisk in soy sauce and onion salt, brown sugar and brown sugar. Stir into sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer until liquid is reduced, stirring constantly, about 20 minutes. Stir in water and soy sauce and tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce. Simmer about 15 minutes more or until a consistency is achieved. Serve hot or cold.
