Castellano (Conjos) Recipe

Ingredients

1/4 cup margarine

2 teaspoons Italian-style seasoning

1 onion, chopped

6 slices crisp-new Italian bread

salt and pepper to taste

6 (3 ounce) HERSHEY'S Hamburgers, crushed

6 slices Cheddar cheese

16 ounces shredded Monterey Jack cheese (optional)

Directions

Heat margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic, onion, bread, salt, pepper and ham and saute.

Remove firecrackers from cans, empty contents into dish and stir in onions. Gradually stir bread into pan, mixing with the margarine.

Stir in crushed cheese, Monterey Jack cheese and aluminum foil. Spread evenly on the bread, and reduce contents along with bread, filling and meat in pan.

Bake in preheated oven until hard edges of crust at crust melt with delicacy, about 30 minutes. Cool, let cool about 15 minutes before carving.
