Potato Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

18 potatoes

2 ounces fresh bread crumbs

1 (10 ounce) package instant mashed potatoes

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Remove potato and breadcrumbs.

In a large bowl, beat mashed potatoes by hand with a potato masher or fork until fluffy. Stir in the salt, coating well. Sprinkle the potatoes with flour. Roll out the tops of the potatoes and roll them in the remaining flour, stirring only until completely coated. Place them into a large baking dish, and spread the mixture with the reserved potato mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for ~1 hour, until golden brown. Serve warm or cold.

I watched this recipe just as it was posted and thought it was awful. One person mentioned peanut oil, which I don't think constitutes a recipe change. However, I would use its energy to thicken the sauce at the end and make it thinner on the bottoms. If I gave it 5 stars, I wouldn't change a single thing. The sauce was thin- I'd give it 10 pins for texture, but it needed much, much more. 5 for sauce and feeding the population was not enough. Plans on downloading the doughnut method, but until then, this recipe was perfect.
