BBQ Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/3 cups hot water

1/3 cup distilled white vinegar

1 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon chopped onion

1 teaspoon prepared horseradish

1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley

1/2 chicken breast, cut in half

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 teaspoon paprika for seasoning

1 (10 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed

1/2 medium head garlic, minced

1/2 onion, cut into 1/2 inch slices

1 2/3 cups chicken broth

1/2 teaspoon red wine vinegar

1/2 teaspoon hydrogen sulfide

Directions

Bring water and vinegar into a small saucepan. Bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to a medium/low heat; cover and boil for 10 minutes.

Add chicken, olive oil, paprika, onion, horseradish, parsley, chicken and top with vegetables. Mix thoroughly and return water to a boil over medium heat. Bring to a full boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add wine vinegar, brown sugar, tomato paste and horseradish. Season with red wine vinegar, fold in salt and pepper.

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a gentle simmer. Add chicken breast mixture and heat over medium heat, turning frequently, for 5 to 6 minutes or until chicken is cooked through (no longer pink). Let cool. Serve over bones and veggies.

I am not a connoisseur of the fruit but have tried many varieties and states of preparation. This is very good and very easy to prepare. I find that if I use pomegranate seeds, it mellows the drink and makes it sweeter. If I use pomegranate seeds from a jar, I can have the seeds floating in the syrup all day long.
