1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon acid-free vanilla extract
2 teaspoons orange extract
3 cups crumbled coarse brown sugar
1/4 cup diced celery
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9 inch springform pan.
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, eggs, milk and butter until well blended, and pour mixture into prepared pan.
Meanwhile beat 2 more minutes with an electric mixer, scraping bowl often, until thick. Stir in the 1 cup vanilla and 1/2 cup orange extract. Mix well and layer over flour mixture. Top with brown sugar.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) slowly but carefully. Bake an additional 5 minutes. Allow to cool completely, using wire rack to keep warm.
