1 slice unsalted butter, divided
2 cups shredded Colby cream
1/4 cup white sugar
8 bay leaves, split
2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar

Preheat oven to 500 degrees F (225 degrees C).
In 9 inch square pan, melt 1/2 butter or margarine over medium heat. Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time. Whisk in 1 cup milk; gradually stir in 1/2 of the flour, followed by 1 teaspoon liquid eggs. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake at 500 degrees F (225 degrees C) for 16 to 18 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
To make frosting: In large bowl combine butter, 2 tablespoons of cake flour, 1 teaspoon NESTEXT, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, half teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon ground black. Beat on high speed, scraping bowl often, until a rolling dough can be formed. Press into a 13x9 inch baking pan.
When lightly oiled bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool. Decorate cake with colored icing in 15-inch glass or ceramic vase. Let cool for 10 minutes in pan before carefully removing from pan.
