1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 quarts milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice
3 (15 ounce) cans sweet potato, drained
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 onion, cut in half
6 pound lean beef, cut into 1 inch cubes
3 cups peeled and cubed potatoes
1 red onion, cut in half
In a large saucepan, combine sugar, milk, lemon juice, sweet potatoes, oil, onion, potatoes, and red onion. Bring to a boil and stir over medium high heat until the sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat to medium and mix thoroughly.
