Florentine Eggnog Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 tablespoon corn syrup

1 cup margarine, melted

2 cups confectioners' sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions

In a large bowl combine the corn syrup, margarine, and confectioners' sugar. Mix thoroughly. Combine the flour with tomato paste. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and roll them in the remaining sugar. Place cookies 1 teaspoon at a time in order.

After each cookie has been placed on the cookie sheet, cut into thin strips. Place about 1 teaspoon of filling on each strip before turning off. Return cookies to the cookie sheet and flatten slightly to keep them from burning. Dust with remaining sugar.
