1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix together the oats, butter and flour. Pour into X 3 inch round baking pans, baking sheets or pie pan.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool on wire racks.
In a large bowl, stir together the brown sugar, water and 1/3 cup of the oats mixture, being careful not to mix. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet.
Cool and cut into squares.
