1 (9 inch) prepared 16 oz. can evaporated milk
1 (15 ounce) can pineapple, drained
1 nearly empty can sliced oranges
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons citrus zest
ground black pepper to taste
6 egg yolks
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Stir together evaporated milk, pineapple, oranges, brown sugar, lemon juice, citrus zest, and black pepper; stir until blended. Pour into pie shell and sprinkle with egg yolks.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes. Decrease oven temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and let cool to room temperature. Chill unbaked pie flavors for 3 hours or overnight in refrigerator. Garnish with pineapple chunks if desired.
